Recently launched in the Republic of Korea, HMM Algeciras, the world largest container vessel with a capacity of 24,000 TEU, started its maiden voyage from the port of Qingdao in eastern China’s Shandong province on Sunday 26 of April 2020. The dimensions of the ship are as follow, 399.9 meters long and 61.03 meters in beam and have a deck area of more than 24,000 square meters, about the size of three and a half standard football fields.
